Love River
Kaohsiung City has invested a lot in making Love River the main attraction of the city. In 2004, the "Love Boat" became a part of the city´s nighttime ambiance. The project includes 15 boats for tourists that can seat 20 people at the cost of NT$40 million. Enjoy the colorful lighting and the easy feel either on the banks of the river or on a Love Boat cruise.

Love Wharf
Kaohsiung' s True Love Ferry Pier was refurbished from Wharf No.12 in 2006 in to a leisure spot for locals an tourists. It is the photogenic calling port for the True Love Ferry and the Guangrong Ferry with white canopies that spread into the sky—prime examples as to why Kaohsiung is the Oceanic Capital of Taiwan. The recreation center and elevated walkway provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to appreciate the harbor waters.

Former British Consulate
This post-Renaissance style building is a Victorian design and it is a successful example of European style and eastern artisanship. It was seriously damaged in a 1977 typhoon and restoration was not completed until 2004. There is a cafe , restaurant and alcoholic beverages are served.

Liuho Night Market
During the day, the night market is a busy street, but at night it becomes an active night market. There are 138 booths selling local delicacies, games and clothing .The papaya shakes, fish and other foods attract locals and Japanese tourists alike.

The Chengching Lake
In Niaosong Village, Kaohsiung County, it was once called Dabei Lake and it is the largest lake in Kaohsiung. Ridges, pavilions, stoop and gazebos are filled with old Chinese ambiance and provide a perfect location in which to relax.
