Chihkan Tower
|

The tower was built in 1655 by the Dutch and it remains virtually intact after 300 years. The structure houses Fukienese alters where students come to pray for good grades on their final and entrance exams.

Koxinga Ancestral Shrine |
|
The shrine is to memorialize Ming Dynasty official Koxinga´s route if the Dutch on Taiwan. The building is a rare example of Fukinese architecture for Taiwan with Qing Dynsasty style gates that includes and calligraphy written by the hand of 19th Century Mandarin Shen Bao-zhen. His writings, which are written with a strong hand, are of significant historical value.

Fort Zeelandia (Fort Anping)
|
|
Fort Zeelandia is the old Tainan City gate and was an important military post. All that is left of the fort today is the main building. This castlelike European structure was build by Dutch settlers and has been remodeled into a museum. Climb to the 4th floor platform for a view of the Tainan canal, the fishing harbor and Taiwan Strait.
