Taichung Museum of Fine Arts

| This is the largest art museum in Asia. The building itself is actually a work of art with its lovely water fountain and pool. Sun Moon Lake
|

| This body of water is situated 748 meters above sea level, is 27 meters deep, has a diameter of 37 meters and an area of 5.4 kilometers. It is the largest shallow lake and is one of the eight famed sites to see in Taiwan. There are temples, pavilions and towers to see, including the largest temple to Confucius. |

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
|
|
Sun Moon Lake is the location of the Shao Aborigines and the nearby Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village showcases the song and dance of these people. There is a 62 hectare range with a European-style palace garden, a global village and a park celebrating Formosan Aboriginal life.

Jiji Train Station
|

The Jiji Train Station was built by Japanese and, as the current structure, was one of Taiwan´s Cyrpess wood train stations, but it was destroyed during the great 921 Earthquake. It is now more lovely than the original.
